Use the SiteMind app

No code. The app puts the widget on your store and links it to your workspace.

  1. Start from your dashboard

    In Widget Studio, open the install panel and enter your store address, for example your-store.myshopify.com.

  2. Approve the app

    Shopify asks you to approve SiteMind for your store. Then sign in to SiteMind, or create an account, and confirm the link.

  3. Turn on the app embed

    In Shopify, open Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds and switch on SiteMind Chat. Save, and the widget is on your store.

  1. Copy your snippet

    In your SiteMind dashboard, open Widget Studio and copy the embed code. It is one script tag with your widget key in it.

  2. Open your theme code

    From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.

  3. Edit code

    On your current (published) theme, click the "…" menu, then Edit code.

  4. Open theme.liquid

    In the Layout folder on the left, open theme.liquid.

  5. Paste and save

    Paste the snippet on its own line, immediately before the closing </body> tag, then click Save.

  • The app needs Growth or above

    The Shopify app is part of the Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans. The snippet works on every plan, including the free trial.

  • Your store is crawled for you

    If your store is the first website in your workspace, linking the app starts crawling your store’s own domain.

Yes, from what your product pages say: descriptions, sizes, materials, prices shown on the page. It does not read live stock or orders from Shopify, so it will not answer “where is my order?” from your admin data.

The script loads with the async attribute, so it does not hold up the rest of your page while it downloads.

Yes. In Widget Studio you set the colours, the launcher, its position, the greeting and the suggested questions, and preview the result before it goes live. On Pro and Enterprise you can also remove the “Powered by SiteMind” line.

No. Pasting the snippet into theme.liquid does the same job on any plan. The app just saves you from editing theme code.
